Bachelor no More

I just heard news that my long-time bachelor cousin is getting married this May. Short engagement. Simple wedding. The couple wanted a very small and intimate wedding. If they can have their way, they wanted to have a civil wedding just to keep it simple.

It seems more and more couples are going to the simple and intimate route when it comes to weddings. Practicality and sensibility.

Sad News

Our wedding date is moved. It will be held next year. Maybe January. I'm still in Denial mode.

Last week, I learned of this sad news. A crisis related to an unplanned pregnancy wreaked havoc to my peaceful planning for a December wedding. So as to prevent having a “sukob” wedding, the Cook and I had no choice but to have our wedding next year. It's unfair, but if it's not our time to wed yet, then we'll wait for the right time.

It saddens me that we have to be the ones adjusting for the mistakes of another. Well, C'est la vie. (shakes head)

Budget Wedding is IN

I was able to watch an episode in ANC's Shop Talk entitled “Learn how to say "I DO" on a limited budget”. The host talked with different wedding suppliers and they talked about the trends in ring designs, invitations, cakes, etc. The guests told the minimum and maximum prices for their products and services. Very informative. As they talked about wedding details and what-nots, the host said that couples must not focus too much on the details for a single wedding day that they forget planning for the marriage. Yes!

Sorry if I was missing in action these past few weeks. I was busy with some physical development stuff (learning to swim) that I was not able to update my blog regularly. But now, I'm back!
