LAT Score After LIT

When I shared my LIT story, some of you asked if my LAT score improved. I automatically replied yes, my LAT score changed for the better. But, after some recollection, I realized that Dr. Carol didn't require me to take a LAT test, so I wouldn't have known my actual LAT score or whether my score went from low to high.

As I remember, my immunologist told me that another LAT test was unnecessary after LIT since the procedure is guaranteed to improve a patient's LAT results. I could have my LAT tested if I wanted to, she said, but it would be an additional expense.

Dr. Carol just monitored how my body reacted to LIT by measuring the redness surrounding each injection. After each LIT session, the redness minimized which meant that my body was accepting Hubby's WBCs and was slowly developing tolerance to foreign tissues during pregnancy.

Please note that each immunologist has her/his own protocol in doing LIT. Your doctor's procedures may be different from mine. That doesn't mean one immunologist is wrong and the other is right in the way she/he deals with her/his patients. We just need to respect our choices and hope that our specialist would help us achieve our ultimate goal.

Thanks for *still* reading my blog. Kapit pa, mga bes!
