Our company had its annual summer outing in La Luz Beach Resort in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. Laiya is 115 kms from Manila and a 3-hour drive, including the traffic at the SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) will take you there. It seemed everyone in Manila wanted a slice of paradise in the South where beaches abound. :)
La Luz is famous for its beige (I cannot say white since it is not) sandy beach and the food they serve to guests. Bringing in food is not allowed so you need to pay for their buffet which costs P1,100/pax for overnight stay and P750 for the Day trip. For overnight guests, the buffet includes breakfast, lunch, merienda (or snacks) and dinner. I must say that the dinner they prepared was superb!
The Premium Loft which we rented for the night can accommodate up to 10 people for P3,500. Not bad huh? The aircon was cold and there is a toilet and bath. There are no TVs and Videokes (thank God!) so all you would do is relax and enjoy the sights.
I had a wonderful time in La Luz that I am telling my family to go there next year. We already had our summer getaway so La Luz is for next year. Can't wait!
