DIY Furniture

I saw a website called Knock-Off Wood that dares ordinary people to do the extraordinary in their homes -- build their own furnitures!

After looking at what other people did, the bookshelves, tables, cabinets, etc. I particularly like the console in this picture. I'm inspired to take the challenge also. Can I do it? (gasp!)

So now, whenever I see a furniture that I like, I think about how I can do it, DIY mode.

Mamma Mia

Mamma Mia has been showing in HBO for sometime now and I never tire watching it. I never saw it in theatres though. =(

The first time I was able to watch it in cable, I didn't like it that much. I thought Meryl Streep was awkward at dancing and prancing singing ABBA hits. (I gre up watching ABBA concerts in Betamax. Gosh! I'm that old. Probably you don't know what a Betamax is...) But after watching it for the nth time, Mamma Mia grew one me. I love it and it is now one of my faves!

(still hums "Mamma Mia" in my head)

Nesting

After the wedding comes the "Nesting". Dictionary.com defines "nesting" as "to create and settle into a warm and secure refuge".

As we are on the final stages of paying a lot in the province, I am now thinking about floor plans, house designs and furnitures and wall colors and all of those things. I saw on cable a site where you can take a Design Test from HGTV to know what type of design suits your personality. Of course I took it and it said that my style is Contemporary. =)

One Month

We are now on our first month as a married couple. Witwiw!

But, I still feel as if I am single. We only had 11 days of being together as husband and wife since he went overseas for work.

Plant Souvenirs

This is our souvenir that won't collect dust, won't be put on a shelf and forgotten later on. The plants were displayed on the cake buffet table. My sister, K, distributed them to guests after they have eaten.

Official Wedding Photos

I finally got the CD-copy of our wedding photos from Kuya R, the photographer. I've uploaded it in Picasa Web and sent invitations to my family and friends to view it. Yey!
